Unstable View -Pool, As Fragment
〈Pool Project〉begins with the idea that a place cannot be fixed into a single image. By collaging photographs of the same pool taken at different times and intervening with painterly gestures, the work reveals the instability of time and viewpoint within a single pictorial field. The divided canvas panels do not function as complete scenes; rather, they exist as fragments of images cut from different moments and perspectives. Individually, these fragments remain incomplete, but when assembled, they form a scene that never existed in real time. Through this process, the work questions how limited our act of “seeing” truly is, and what might be considered the true state of a place.
